Several towns and cities throughout the Philippines experienced heavy rains as a Southwest monsoon is pulling an exiting tropical cyclone Nisat (Philippine name: Gorio) bringing heavy rains and thunderstorms.
Schools in major cities were closed due to flash flooding. The local weather agency says Nisat is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility by Sunday.
Another tropical cyclone has been spotted near the West Philippine sea. However, meteorologist do not expect it to hit the Philippine Area of Responsibility soon.
